EMS Variance Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing and a discussion
period at the City Council meeting of October 9th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the
Petersburg City Hall, 1524 Main Street, Petersburg, Texas, in order to take
public comment concerning the City of Petersburg EMS dba Petersburg EMS
upcoming renewal of a variance to operate its ambulance.

Notice is hereby given that the Petersburg EMS will request a variance from
the Texas Department of State Health Services to operate their EMS service
while not in compliance with the law. The variance if approved would allow
the Petersburg EMS to operate their emergency vehicles without meeting the
minimum staffing requirement of at least two certified Emergency Care
Attendants.

The public is encouraged and invited to attend in order to ask any questions
or make any comments concerning the foregoing variance renewal request.
